circa 1920, 25in. cordite proofed four-stage barrel, open rear sight (folding leaf welded into fixed position), ramped bead fore-sight, the breech end marked 'FOR USE WITH 9'5M/M (No. 531) CARTRIDGES ONLY.), barrel numbered 2308 & W5679, plain receiver with thumb cut-out, turned-down bolt with manual flag safety and numbered 4173, detachable floorplate, semi-pistolgrip halfstock with copper wire-bound grip, chipped at toe, 13 3/4in. pull including steel buttplate, sling eyes, weight 6lb. 10oz.
