* A CASED .32 (S&W) FIVE-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION POCKET REVOLVER SIGNED 'W. RICHARDS, LIVERPOOL' MODEL 'TRANTER'S PATENT', serial no. 35459, circa 1870, with 3in. blued octagonal sighted barrel engraved with a band of foliage at the muzzle and signed 'W. RICHARDS OLD HALL ST. LIVERPOOL', grooved top-strap, border engraved frame marked 'W. TRANTER'S PATENT' and retaining traces of blued finish, chequered walnut butt, patent hinged extractor rod, Birmingham proof marks, in fitted mahogany case lined in blue baize (some partitions loose), probably original, the lid with circular brass escutcheon.
