28in. replacement nitro chopperlump barrels (by the makers in 1940), rib engraved 'BOSS & CO. 41, ALBERMARLE STREET, PICCADILLY, LONDON. W.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, manual safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, rolled-edge triggerguard, best fine bouquet and scroll engraving, brushed and reblued finish overall, 15 1/8in. well-figured replacement stock, weight 6lb. 8oz.
The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed in 1911 for a Col. E.S. Mason of Lincoln and that they fitted new barrels in 1940
