27 1/2in. (70cm) nitro barrels with 9mm ventilated matt top-rib and side ribs, over barrel engraved 'LUCIANO BOSIS BRESCIA', under barrel signed 'R. LUTEROTTI', 2 3/4in. chambers, Briley multi-chokes (with spares), hold-open toplever, manual safety, action, lockplates and furniture brushed bright with fine border engraving, the fore-end decorated en suite and gold-inlaid with the Bosis crest, the underside with a fine marshland scene of alighting mallard, signed with the cypher 'P. INC.', 14 7/8in. highly-figured pistolgrip stock with palm swell and including 3/4in. rubber recoil pad, weight 7lb. 15oz., in its lightweight Nizzoli leather case with some accessories, including spare mainsprings and strikers
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was sold on 22nd March 2002 and that the engraver was Pietro Parravicini.
The photograph on our online catalogue shows the vendor receiving the King's Cup - a live pigeon competition on the grand prix circuit - in Madrid, which he won using this shotgun.
