26 1/2in. nitro chopperlump barrels, the rib with a flash of fine acanthus scroll engraving at the breech-end, the tubes gold-inlaid 'J. ROBERTS & SON. LONDON W.C.2.' in script, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, removable striker discs, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, rolled-edge triggerguard, best fine border, bouquet and acanthus scroll engraving surrounding a gold-inlaid brace of flushed pheasant over a gold-highlighted scenic landscape on the left, the right with a gold-inlaid sute of mallard in flight over a gold-accented marshland setting, both lockplates signed 'K.C. Hunt', the action bar gold-inlaid 'J. ROBERTS & SON LONDON' in script on the left and right, the underside with a fine gold-inlaid portrait of a hound, retaining virtually full original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. figured stock including 3/4in. ebonite extension, gold escutcheon with the initials 'PAP' in script, weight 6lb., in its makers brass cornered oak and tan leather guncase, the lid with brass circular escutcheon bearing the initials 'PAP' in script
