circa 1840, with 30 1/2in. browned twist barrels, signed on the rib 'WALKER, NEWBURY FROM PURDEYS LONDON', silver fore-sight, finely scroll engraved case-hardened patent breeches and top-tang, border and scroll engraved locks signed 'WALKER', border and scroll engraved dolphin-headed hammers, figured walnut half-stock, chequered grip and fore-end, finely scroll engraved mounts including blued butt-plate and trigger-guard, the latter decorated with a pointer, silver escutcheon, original brass-tipped ebony ramrod with worm and a good amount of original finish, London proofs
