28in. nitro chopperlump barrels (slightly loose on action), rib engraved 'BADMINTON', tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND 98 NEW BOND ST. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, hand-detachable lockplates, border and bold acanthus scroll engraving, the underside with the model designation, retaining traces of original colour-hardening, 15 5/8in. figured crossover stock including buttplate, weight 6lb. 7oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was completed, date unrecorded, with 28in. barrels for 'Straker'. The name refers to Lt.-Col. R. Straker.
