A .577-450 (M/H) SINGLE-SHOT SERVICE-RIFLE, MODEL 'MARTINI-HENRY MKIV/I 'LONG-LEVER', serial no. D2665,
dated for 1887, with 33 1/2in. blued barrel, ramp and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, plain receiver with tear-drop cocking indicator to the right hand side together with the markings 'ENFIELD' over '1887' over 'IV' over 'I', the whole surmounted by a crown and 'VR', walnut straight-hand butt-stock stamped with numerous issue numbers, iron heel-plate affixed with bronze screws, walnut fore-end with two iron barrel-bands, the front with integral bayonet lug, iron nose-cap and original iron clearing rod, the whole being an older re-finish
