A RARE 140-BORE PERCUSSION POCKET-KNIFE COMBINATION PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1850, with blued smoothbore 4 1/4in. barrel mounted to the spine of the knife, single-action hammer to rear, folding marlin-spike (also forming the 'grip' when deployed), folding 'cork-screw' (doubles as trigger when deployed) and a folding 4in. clip-point blade marked 'DUMONTHIER FRERES, BREVET D'INVENTION' together with a crown over a star trademark surrounded by the word 'MOUDAN', white metal bolster-caps and smooth mother of pearl grip-scales (one with age-crack)
