A PAIR OF 22-BORE PERCUSSION SINGLE-SHOT HORSE-PISTOLS, no visible serial numbers,
circa 1680 with later conversion to percussion, the browned slightly swamped 12 1/2in. barrels with raised carved sighting plains terminating in deeply carved scrolls at muzzles and forwards of the breeches, applied brass 'droplet' fore-sights, the breech-ends carved with radial bands, raised florally carved rear-sights to the fan-tailed solid top-tangs, curved and heavily radiused borderline and scroll engraved locks signed 'S: ABERG', carved necks to the hammers, walnut full-stocks carved around the lockplates, top-tangs and furniture, swollen butts with scroll engraved heavy long-eared brass butt-caps, moulded brass trigger-guard tangs and bows with floral finials, pierced running vine brass sideplates, moulded and turned ramrod thimbles, brass nose-caps and possible original iron ramrods
