Boehler Antinit-steel nitro barrels with 10mm ventilated matt top-ribs, inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and full choke, hold-open toplevers, manual safeties with integral barrel selector switches, double bolstered actions, rolled-edge triggerguards, the actions, lockplates and furniture fully and very finely engraved in bulino style with stylised foliate and floral scroll designs, interspersed with subtle chiaroscuro effect depictions of game birds and waterfowl, signed 'G.F. PEDERSOLI', the triggerplates signed 'Giancarlo de Felice', 14 3/8in. highly-figured pistolgrip stocks, weight 7lb. 12oz., in their fine fitted leather case with accessories and two Pedersoli-engraved damascus bladed knives, one folding with 4in. drop point locking blade with rope worked back, fully game scene engraved bolsters and wood grips and leather pouch; the other with 6in. fixed blade signed 'Ballestra', fully engraved guard, wood grip with game engraved oval escutcheons and shagreen and leather sheath
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that just three examples of guns with of this double bolstered action have been made. This pair, as a special order for the client and a further single gun which remains within the Beretta family. They have confirmed that the stocks for this pair are Class 5 Extra quality and that the engraving is Grade 8 Bulino.
