A FINE AND RARE .577 (BOXER) FIVE-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL 'PRYSE-ACTION', serial no. 3138,
produced in Birmingham for the English market circa 1880, with blued octagonal 6in. barrel (London proofs), full length raised sighting rib with crescent fore-sight, the top-flat of rib signed 'A. HENRY 12 SOUTH ST., ANDREW ST. EDINBURGH', blued break-open frame with twin Pryse bars (some discolouration to the right hand side), thumb-wheel cylinder release, blued fluted cylinder, one-piece chequered walnut butt, colour-hardened butt-cap with lanyard ring and blued trigger-guard bow (finish rubbed), the whole retaining virtually all its original London blued finish except where noted
