circa 1845, with fine damascus 10in. barrels, dove-tailed blade fore-sights, scroll engraved breech-blocks, scroll engraved top-tangs with standing notch rear-sights, borderline and scroll engraved hump-back locks with stepped tails and signed 'F IN P LE PAGE A PARIS' beneath the hammers, figured walnut half-stocks with fluted flaring butts, engraved iron caps, engraved finger-spurred trigger-guard bows, white-metal barrel-key escutcheons and scroll carved fore-end tips, no provision for ramrods, TOGETHER WITH a period, possibly original walnut storage case, re-lined internally with blue velvet in the continental manner and complete with a full suite of period accessories including a powder-flask with ribbed copper body, a walnut loading mallet, a scissors ball-mould, a nipple key and wood loading rod, the case with reproduced 'LE PAGE FRERES' trade-label
