first year of production,1908, with blued 6 1/2in. barrel signed and with patent dates to 1906, period London proofs, block and crescent fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, blued solid frame with swing-out fluted cylinder, colour-hardened hammer and trigger, chequered walnut two piece grips, the tops inlet with an embossed 'S&W' medallions, lanyard swivel to heel, the whole in a remarkable state of preservation retaining practically all its original deep blue factory finish and appearing unfired; TOGETHER WITH a British hardshell revolver holster for the Sam Browne belt, fitted with internal loops for a cleaning rod (missing)
