circa 1880, with nickel 6in. barrel, the last inch turned and engraved with bands of interlaced ribbons, the rest of the barrel engraved with scrolled panels to the sides and a central 'rib' of engraved rope-work, border and scroll engraved iron lockplate (traces of colour) signed 'MARTIN, GLASGOW, replaced or repaired and re-finished hammer, nickel butts engraved with panels of scrolls, the sides of the butts engraved with ovals featuring central trophies, vacant oval to the back-strap, 'ramshorn' butt with central pricker, ball trigger and iron wire ramrod
