26in. black powder only barrels (likely replacements) with raised, partially matted rib, open sights and two folding leaf sights, marked for 200 and 250 yards, replacement blade fore-sight, tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.', flats marked '360 EX. 50 - 155', slim scooped-back action with slender toplever, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, intercepting sears, bold acanthus scroll engraving, the makers name in scrolling banners, the underside with a scrolled cartouche engraved 'CHARGE 47 GRAINS. NO.6 POWDER. CASE 2 1/4 INCHES. BULLET 180 GRAINS', the triggerguard with hound and fowl, brushed bright finish overall, 14 1/2in. figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, insert repair right underhorn, horn pistolgrip-cap, sling eyes and ribbed horn buttplate, weight 7lb. 3oz.

Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the rifle was completed in March 1909 for Walter Locke & Co.
