ENGLAND.', and '2' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, toplever engraved '2', removable striker discs, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, arrow cocking-indicators, best floral bouquet and acanthus scroll engraving, brushed and blued finish overall, 14 5/8in. figured replacement stock, weight 6lb. 10oz., in a relined brass-cornered leather case
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed as No.2 of a pair in March 1899 for J.W. Larnack.
The confirm that they fitted new barrels in May 1973 and that they subsequently re-stocked the gun in September 1952
