extra 24 3/8in. 12-bore rifled nitro barrels, with solid matt rib with a flash of acanthus scroll and gold-inlaid 'II' at the breech end, 3in. chambers, hold-open toplever, manual safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail and integral triggerplate release catch, non-selective single trigger, the action and furniture profusely carved in relief with foliate scroll on a matt background, the triggerplate signed 'D. Bonsi', the decorative sideplates finely engraved in the Bulino style with an African Elephant in its naturalistic habitat on the left, the right with a Cape Buffalo, both sideplates signed 'M.
