circa 1800, with plain 3in. turn-off brass barrels, false rifling at the muzzles, the positions of the barrels on the standing breech numbered with dot marks repeated on the corresponding barrel, squared boxlock action signed T. KETLAND' on the left and 'LONDON' on the right, both beneath a simple swag, central iron hammer and frizzen, central single touch-hole to pan, no provision for safety, walnut slab-sided butt swelling at the pommel, iron trigger-guard bow and London proofs
