A CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION FIVE-SHOT REVOLVER, MODEL 'WEBLEY'S WEDGE-FRAME', serial no. 35745,
circa 1861, with blued octagonal 6in. barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, radiused muzzle, the borderline engraved top-strap signed 'A. THOMSON & SON, EDINBURGH', standing notch rear-sight to top of frame, plain blued cylinder, borderline engraved frame, spurred hammer, chequered walnut grips, guarded trigger and articulated rammer mounted to the left side of barrel, a good amount of original finish remaining; COMPLETE WITH its manufacturer's mahogany storage case, compartmented and lined in green baize, makers parchment label to inside of lid and containing a number of original accessories including a cleaning rod, nipple-key, turn-screw, powder-flask, oil-bottle, lubricating and cap-tins together with an unassociated 'Tranter' brass bullet-mould (2)
