for 1855, with blued octagonal 5in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'ADDRESS COL. COLT LONDON', plain cylinder with roll engraved scene, open iron frame, iron grip-straps and trigger-guard (traces of silver plating), smooth walnut one-piece grip and under-barrel rammer, strong traces of finish throughout; TOGETHER WITH its makers fitted storage case compartmented and lined in red velvet (label removed), and containing a number of original accessories including a tin of Eley caps, an iron bullet mould, an 'L' shaped nipple-key, wire cleaning rod and a Dixon powder flask
