dated for 1800, with slightly swamped tapering 12in. iron barrel, moulded band and Tower proofs at breech, squared solid top-tang, flat lockplate with pointed tail signed 'TOWER', 'G.R.' and crown device forwards of hammer together with ordnance stamps, borderline engraved hammer, walnut full-stock with carved apron around the top-tang and small date stamp to top-right of wrist, 'WS' or '9' stamp behind side-plate, brass furniture, long iron belt-hook fixed to the left hand side, brass-tipped ramrod and further traces of inspector's marks to the ramrod channel
