A RARE .31 (THUER) SIX-SHOT CONVERTED REVOLVER, MODEL '1849 POCKET CONVERSION', serial no. 299658,
for 1867, but converted circa 1870, with blued 5in. octagonal barrel, the top-flat signed 'ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA', colour-hardened open frame, the standing breech replaced with Thuer's conversion, brass grip-straps and trigger-guard, smooth walnut grips and hinged under-barrel loading lever, the whole factory refinished with much remaining
