circa 1853, with blued octagonal 7 1/2in. barrel, the top-strap signed 'DEANE ADAMS & DEANE 30 KING WILLIAM ST'T LONDON BRIDGE', dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, plain cylinder engraved with the serial number, borderline engraved solid frame, spurless hammer, guarded trigger, flared chequered walnut grip with iron cap and central trap, no facility for rammer, strong amount of finish below surface frosting, complete with its manufacturers oak storage case, compartmented and lined in green baize and containing a period cleaning rod, oil bottle, nipple-key, cap tin, mould and powder flask, the inner lid with 'Deane Adams & Deane ' label, the outer lid with inlet rectangular vacant brass plate
