Tula Arsenal dated for 1849, with 42 1/2in. barrel, applied brass crescent fore-sight, applied rear-sight to the solid top-tang, heavy Russian arsenal signed back-action lock, walnut three-quarter stock retaining much of its original 'ebonised' black finish, dated brass furniture, the heel-plate stamped with the serial number, two barrel-bands (nose-cap missing), provision for ramrod (also missing)
Other Notes: The back action 1845 model is much rarer than the earlier 1828/44 Tula types.
