circa 1830, with round 1 3/16in. false rifled turn-off barrels, engraved bands at muzzle and breech, London proofs and scroll engraving to the short ribs, radiused actions with acanthus scroll engraving and signed on the left hand sides 'D. EGG 1 PALL MALL' and the right 'LONDON', carved and engraved dolphin-headed hammers, concealed automatic triggers, guarded lower nipple, sliding safe to the top-tangs and finely chequered flat-form bag-shaped butts mounted with silver oval escutcheons to the wrists, strong traces of finish remaining and complete with their period walnut storage case lined and compartmented in green baize and complete with original splined key, a period example of the smallest J. Dixon three-way flask, a tin for Kynoch caps and a bullet mould
