serial number on barrel loop only, 26in. replacement nitro barrels (circa 1976), rib engraved 'JOHN MACPHERSON. INVERNESS', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, treble-grip action, automatic safety, bold acanthus scroll engraving with beaded and feathered bordering, the makers name in scrolling banners to the sides, 14 3/4in. figured stock including 1/2in. buttplate, weight 6lb. 7oz.
