26in. nitro barrels proofed at Cordite 60-400 Max, file cut sight rib with open sights and two folding leaf sights and marked 100, 200 and 300, ramp-mounted bead fore-sight, the tubes engraved 'LYON & LYON. 16. CHOWRINGHEE ROAD. CALCUTTA. JAs. LYON LATE WITH JAs. PURDEY & SONS. LONDON.', (very faint) and 'FOR CORDITE .450 / 400 3" CASE', treble-grip action, carved percussion fences, rebounding back-action locks with possibly later signed 'LYON & LYON', border and scroll engraving, the serial number 1907 appearing on the triggerguard tang only and possibly a later addition, brushed bright and reblued finish overall, 13 7/8in. (possible replacement) pistolgrip stock with steel domed pistolgrip-cap and steel buttplate, sling eyes, weight 10lb. 6oz., in a canvas case
