JOHN REEVES & CO. 16-BORE 1879 PATENT LEVER-COCKING NON-DETACHABLE LOCK NON-EJECTOR, n.v.s.n., circa 1883, 28in. nitro reproved damascus barrels (some pits, left wall at 19, 0.5cm of bottom rib removed at muzzle), the flats marked 'W. Ford', the rib engraved 'JOHN REEVES & CO. 18 & 20 WEAMAN ROW. BIRMINGHAM, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 3/4 choke in both, action incorporating J. Reeves patent No. 2147 of May 1879, where each hammer is supported by a narrow plate, automatic safety, border engraving surrounding scenes of hound flushing game, 15in. stock (pinned at head) including 1 3/4in. wooden extension and ventilated rubber recoil pad, weight 6lb. 6oz.
