circa 1917, with tapering 5 1/2in. barrel, short extractor claw to bolt, 1000 metre rear-sight, small ring hammer marked 'N/S' for new style safe, milled sides to the frame, 32-groove walnut bag-shaped grips, strong traces of finish, complete with a period holster-stock numbered '848' (hairline along long edge, dents and scratches)
