circa 1956, with blued tapering 18 5/8in. barrel, ramp and blade fore-sight retaining its original square-topped tunnel protector, elevating notch rear-sight, automatic loading tap, plain air-chamber without provision for telescopic sight and etched 'THE BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS CO. LTD' over 'AIRSPORTER .22 AIR RIFLE' along with the piled arms trademark and above 'MADE IN ENGLAND', black enamelled sloping trigger unit, walnut three-piece laminated half-stock (fitted with a single period sling-swivel) and with aluminium stock-bolt cover to the pistol-grip and flush-fitting under-lever, some small wear to enamel finish but generally collector's external condition
