for 1916, 29in. nitro reproved barrels (in 2025), the rib engraved 'JOHN DICKSON & SON. FREDERICK STREET. EDINBURGH.' and with acanthus scroll detailing at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, treble-grip action with hidden third-bite, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, bold acanthus scroll engraving, the makers name in an elaborate deco cartouche, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 15in. figured stock including 1in. rubber recoil pad, crack to centre of hand, right side, bolstered fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 12oz.
