REMINGTON & SONS 12-BORE '1869 NAGANT PATENT' DOUBLE-BARRELLED ROLLING BLOCK SHOTGUN, serial no. 544, circa 1875, 29 7/8in. black powder blank only reproved damascus barrels (in 2025), the rib engraved 'E. REMINGTON AND SONS.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, Remington rolling block patent action with Nagant improved closing system, patented 13th July 1869, Nagant 31st May 1870 patent for utilizing the Remington system on a double barrelled gun and Nagant 17th July 1871 patent improved extractor, scrolled triggerguard with hand rest, bold acanthus scroll engraving, reblued finish, 14 1/4in. stock including buttplate, fore-end with cross-pin release catch and horn finial
