circa 1900, with round reblued 28in. barrel, applied machine engraved top-rib signed 'I. HOLLIS & SONS BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND' and 'AMMUNITION W.R. No.2 MUSKET' in rectangular panels (rubbed), with blade fore-sight and 'Africa' style rear-sight consisting of four flush folding leaves, a standing notch and folding ladder, reblued scroll engraved receiver, the right side with safety lever, chequered walnut pistol-grip butt-stock, the iron heel-plate with central trap with rolled tip and horn-tipped chequered fore-end with cross-wedge fastener, fitted with eyelets for a sling and replacement wood clearing rod below the barrel
