STANLEY DUNCAN & SON 12-BORE BOXLOCK NON-EJECTOR, serial no. 85849, for 1934-5, 28in. nitro barrels, the rib engraved 'STANLEY DUNCAN & SONS. 136. ANLARY ROAD. HULL.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/4 choke, automatic safety with silver-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, boder and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining slight traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 15 1/4in. stock with chequered side panels, including rubber recoil pad, the fore-end inlaid with a Wagbi founded 1908 badge, in its canvas and leather guncase, the lid exterior marked 'G.W.S. - H.'

Other Notes: Stanley Duncan, born in Newcastle in 1887, was an engineer and highly experienced wildfowler. He founded The Wildfowlers Association of Great Britain and Ireland (WAGBI), which later became BASC
