A PAIR OF CONTINENTAL 20-BORE PERCUSSION HOLSTER PISTOLS, UNSIGNED, no visible serial numbers,
circa 1840, probably Belgian, with 9in. octagonal twist damascus smoothbore barrels (externally cleaned of finish), carved nipple bosses, engraved top-tangs, diminutive open sights, borderline and scroll engraved flat bar-action locks, working replacement hammers, walnut half-stocks with chequered grips swelling at the pommels and each fitted with an engraved trap, spurred trigger guard bows, single set triggers, angel-wing sideplates and schnabel fore-ends with no provision for ramrods
