circa 1870, with expertly reblued 28in. barrels signed on the cross-hatched top-rib 'W. RICHARDS 27 OLD HALL ST. LIVERPOOL' (refreshed), elongated bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with two further folding leaves, each sight face with platinum centreline and scroll engraving, the underside of barrels marked 'SIEMENS STEEL', engraved band at breech, well recoloured rounded body swing under-lever action with border and scroll engraving, moulded and fenced pin-wells, long borderline and scroll engraved top-tang, curved recoloured border and scroll engraved back-action locks signed 'W. RICHARDS', bolted safes behind the non-rebounding scroll engraved hammers, chequered walnut pistol-grip butt-stock, iron heel-plate and chequered walnut splinter fore-end with push-button release
