circa 1858-65, 4 3/8in. blued border engraved octagonal sighted barrel decorated with a band of foliage at the muzzle, border engraved blued top-strap signed 'ROBERT ADAMS, LONDON', border engraved serial numbered cylinder decorated with a band of foliage on the front edge, blued border and scroll engraved frame, blued safety-stop, chequered walnut butt, scroll engraved pommel and trigger-guard, blued rammer, and much original finish throughout (some scattered surface corrosion throughout), London proof marks, in original fitted oak case lined with green baize with accessories including Dixon powder-flask and oil bottle, and brass Adams double-cavity bullet mould, the lid with circular brass escutcheon.
