for 1906, 18 1/2in. nitro barrel, standing notch rear sight with one folding leaf marked for 100 and 200 yards and with white metal inlaid sight lines, ramped dove-tailed bead fore-sight, tang fitted with a flip-up aperture rear sight, blued receiver, the ring engraved 'Patent. Mannlicher Schoenauer M.1905.', the left of the receiver engraved 'Oesterr, Waffenfabr. Ges. Steyr.', turned-down butterknife bolt handle, manual flag safety, double set triggers, detachable rotary magazine, full-length figured semi-pistolgrip stutzen stock, with cheekpiece, sling swivels, 14 1/8in. pull including steel buttplate with central trapdoor, weight 6lb. 13oz.
