BIRMINGHAM.' the breech-end engraved '1' and with acanthus scroll detailing, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, right wall at 17, Anson & Deeley 1875 patent treble-grip boxlock action, patent use number 10183, toplever engraved '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, Deeley 1886 patent ejectors, patent use number 1727, border and scroll engraving, brushed bright and reblued finish overall, 14 1/4in. figured stock with chequered side panels, including buttplate, stock and triggers slightly swept for a left hander, weight 6lb. 3oz., in a leather leg of mutton guncase
