circa 1925, German and probably by 'J.G.A.', with round 27 1/2in. barrel, ramp fore-sight, Mauser-style elevating rear-sight, rounded receiver with simple turn-bolt and sliding extractor, walnut half-stock (chipped at head behind receiver) with raised tear-drop cheek-piece, semi pistol-grip and blind finger-grooved fore-end, iron furniture including plain heel-plate and swivels, fitted with a later canvas sling
