circa 1870 with 31in. Birmingham proofed barrel, the nocksform stamped 'RIFLE 2 1/4 case', block and blade front-sight and military pattern ladder rearsight (probably a working replacement), the action body marked on the left 'WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT, 170 NEW BOND ST. LONDON', with forward hinged under-lever action, iron mounted two piece walnut stock, the fore-end secured by one pin and a replacement barrel band, missing clearing rod, finish worn, wood-work heavily refinished with inlet repairs to fore-end
