circa 1852, with reblued octagonal 4 1/2in. barrel, the top-flat marked 'L.A.C.' for London Armoury Company, engraved band at muzzle, scroll engraving at barrel-throat, wedge barrel fastener, plain colour-hardened five-shot cylinder with engraved band to leading edge, open borderline and scroll engraved iron frame with rear-sight to the short rib, self-cocking action with spurless hammer and guarded trigger, chequered walnut grips and moulded iron grip-cap integral with the straps, colour hardened 'Colt' style under-barrel rammer, the whole refinished and in its walnut casing relined in antiquity with green baize, facsimile trade label inside lid and complete with a flask, mahogany loading rod, cap-tin, oil bottle with London Armoury paper label and case-key
