A RARE 19th CENTURY BAVARIAN ARMY OFFICER'S DRESS SWORD,
circa 1890, with 31in. double-edged blade etched both sides with a panel bearing the motto 'In Treue Fest', and on one side a further panel with the maker's details 'M. Zoltsch Munchen', ricasso with the Kirschbaum knight's head mark, brass hilt with shell guard carrying the Royal crown within a victory wreath, knuckle-guard, fishskin grip bound with brass twist-wire, together with its leather scabbard with brass fittings
