circa 1910, with round tapering 25 1/4in. barrel signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO. LONDON' and 'FOR 297/250 CARTRIDGE', the right side of barrel further marked 'DETACHABLE BARREL', block and dove-tailed blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with two further folding leaves, blued slab-sided receiver with the triangle trademark to the nocksform and marked on the left side 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO, LONDON', take-down lever to the same side, dropping feed-ramp and cocking indicator, provision for a peep-sight (absent), chequered walnut butt-stock and fore-end, iron heel-plate and horn inlay to fore-end tip, much finish remaining
