A GOOD CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION 4TH MODEL TRANTER REVOLVER RETAILED BY J. BLANCH & SON, LONDON, serial no. 18163T,
circa 1860, with blued octagonal 5 7/8in. barrel, engraved band at muzzle, dove-tailed bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, the top-strap signed 'J. BLANCH & SON GRACECHURCH ST. LONDON', borderline and scroll engraved frame, colour hardened five-shot cylinder, chequered walnut semi saw-handled grip, engraved grip-cap, guarded trigger and Kerr-patent rammer, much original finish and colour remaining and appearing little used, in its supplied mahogany storage case lined and compartmented in green baize, Blanch parchment trade label inside lid and including a replacement brass mould, a Sykes powder flask (probably from a pocket pistol), a cleaning rod, oil bottle, turn-screw and Moore & Grey cap pouch
