circa 1780's, with 7 1/4in. round brushed bright barrels, sighted concave rib and top-tang rear sighting plane, border and scroll engraved flat locks with stepped tails, signed 'WETSEL', below the pans, (left lock at fault), flat slab-sided cocks, unbridled frizzens, walnut full-stock with carved tear-drops and scrolls in high relief, engraved iron butt-cap and triggerguard with iron ramrod pipes and wooden ramrod, the whole cleaned bright of finish, in a later walnut case (with key), lined in green baize complete with 19th century copper powder flask signed 'DIXON & SON', Irish leather shot flask, cleaning rods, brushes and shot measure
