GUN MAKERS BY SPECIAL APPOINTMENT TO HIS MAJESTY KING EDWARD VII.' and gold-inlaid '1' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and full choke, scroll-back treble-grip action incorporating J. Deeley and L.B. Taylor patent hand-detachable locks, patent no. 17731 of 28th July 1897, use number 1439, the toplever gold-inlaid '1' and engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT ONE TRIGGER', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, A.E. Lard patent single trigger, no. 3952 of 1899, use number 1111, with triggerplate mounted barrel selector switch with gold-inlaid 'L' and 'R' details, detachable floorplate, acanthus scroll engraving, the triggerguard engraved with a hound on point, brushed and blued finish, 14 1/8in. stock including buttplate, weight 6lb. 9oz., in a brass-cornered leather case
