LONDON' and marked 'SIGHTED FOR RIGBY'S HIGH VELOCITY .275 BORE CARTRIDGE POINTED BULLET 140 GRS', block-mounted bead fore-sight with tunnel-cover, block-mounted rear-sight of one standing and two folding leaves calibrated to 400 yards and each with platinum-inlaid centre-line, reblued receiver fitted with original Zeiss 'Zielklein' telescopic sight signed 'J. RIGBY & CO. 43 SACKVILLE ST. LONDON' in quick detachable tunnel mounts, the front mount serial numbered to the rifle, 14 1/4in. pistolgrip stock with chequered grip and fore-end, blued iron mounts, sling eyes, in original full length brass-cornered canvas and leather rifle case with accessories including original leather scope lens caps, brown leather carry-case for the telescopic sight and cleaning funnel, the lid with John Rigby & Co. trade label.
Other Notes: The makers have kindly confirmed that this rifle was completed on 21st September 1933 for a Mr. P.M. Stewart with 24in. barrel, 14 1/2in. stock and telescopic sight.
