35 7/8in. nitro reproved barrels, broad rib, gold-inlaid 'E.J. CHURCHILL' and re-engraved '8, AGAR ST. STRAND, LONDON. W.C.', ivorine bead foresight, 3 1/4in. chambers, bored approx. 3/4 and 1/2 choke in both, Jones patent rotary underlever, rebounding back-action locks, border engraving and some acanthus scrolls (refreshed), the lockplates signed 'E.J. CHURCHILL', retaining some renewed colour-hardening, 14in. figured stock including steel buttplate, fore-end with grip-catch release lever, weight 11lb. 15oz., in its brass-cornered leather case.
The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed in 1892 and that it was the first 10-bore to be built by them.
